Bricks and terracotta tiles are some of the warmest and most beautiful examples of flooring you can possibly choose for your home. So, when you want them cleaned and generally brought up to date after a few years of wear and tear, it's worth calling in the professionals.
Our client wanted her brick work buffed, bullied and generally beaten into shape, but the colour left in tack. Hmm, we thought, who to send on this mission? Then we looked at Nathan and smiled.
Sanding brick flooring is not so much about sanding them to death as it is sanding off the rough edges and then cleaning the dirt away. Orbital sanders set to work on the floor and then when it signals there's no more to be done (it whines), then you start mopping.
On this occasion, because the floor required the lightest of touches, Nathan employed a slow rotary sander with a soft brush and a neutral cleaner and then sealed the surface with stain guard.
Clean water and lots of it, that's the key! We use driers as well to decrease drying time and allow the client quicker access back to their rooms, on this occasion, the kitchen/dining-room.
Britain has always had a love for bricks. Don't ask me why; it's part of the National DNA. We build everything with them, from walls to chimneys, from floors to barbecues. We even use them in works of art.
NOTE: This particular piece was made in Maastrict, Netherlands, but you get the idea.
The red brick or any variation we choose to manufacture is synonymous with British culture and when it come to caring for it, Art of Clean delights in the opportunity.
If you have brick work in your home or place of business and you take a look and think, hmm, it could do with a little love. Call us, we'd be happy to help.
